Summary, etc. It is incorrect to say that Sardar Patel had any bias towards Muslims. There were definite differences between Jawaharlal Nehru and Vallabhbhai Patel on their policies and perceptions on vital issues. However, it would be erroneous to believe that he was anti-Muslim and harboured any bitterness towards them. He tried to take every possible step to bring Hindus and Muslims closer. Sardar Patel was very sympathetic towards the refugees who were being forced out of their homes by Muslims in West Pakistan as well as from the then East Pakistan (now Bangladesh). This book clearly reflects his benevolent attitude towards Muslims from both East and West Pakistan. About The Author: P.N. Chopra is one of India's best known historians. Presently, Chief Editor of the Collected Works of Sardar Patel, he was formerly Chief Editor of the Gazetteers in the Ministry of Education, as well as the Chief Editor of Who's Who of Indian Martyrs and Chief Editor of Towards Freedom project of the Indian Council of Historical Research. In addition, he has written and edited over forty authoritative seminal works on Indian history and culture....
