This book, "Forensic Anthropology in Crime Investigation and the Administration of Justice", written by Dr. J.R. Gaur and Dr. V. Bhalla is the outcome of more than thirty years of experience of the authors in Forensic Anthropology. It is also expected to serve as a ready reference in Forensic research in Medical colleges and the universities. About Author : Dr. J. R. Gaur was born on 15th August, 1954 in District Karnal of Haryana State, India. He graduated in Science (Medical Group) from Dayal Singh College Karnal in the year 1974 and obtained the degree of Master of Science in Physical Anthropology in the year 1976 from Punjab University Chandigarh. He did his Ph.D. in the faculty of Science from Punjab University Chandigarh while in service in 1990. He is working in the field of Forensic Science since June, 1978 and Director, State Forensic Science Laboratory, Himachal Pradesh, Junga (Shimla) since January 1998. Thus, Dr. Gaur has worked in the field of Forensic Science for about twenty-nine years in various capacities and is a well known Forensic Scientist in India and abroad. He has extensively worked in the laboratory, at the scenes of crime and for evidences in the courts of law. He has taught forensic science to all the wings of criminal justices system since 1980 and also worked for public education in Forensic Science through radio and doordarshan.
