This work is a translation of the Muslim history of Gujarat written in Persian by Ali Mohammad Khan, called the Mirat Ahmadi, covering the period between the end of the 10th century up to the death of Akbar in 1605 AD. There are 3 sections in this book that, among other topics, give preliminary observations of Gujarat; the beginnings of the kingdom; capture of Somnath by Mahmud Ghazni; reign of Mohammad Tughlaq Shah; the succeeding Tughlaqs; the government of Zafir Khan; Mohammad Shah I; Sultan Bahadur; the capture of surat; Shahbuddin Ahmad Khan; Mirza Khan; Mirza Aziz Koka; the suicide of Muzaffir etc. This book is a reprint of the 1835 edition.
